VIRRD Trust: Empathy in Action

Major contributions towards execution of this project have been donated by philanthropists and foundations. The civil (RCC construction and granite interiors), electrical, and all other works of the hospital (approx 38000 sq. ft) doctor / nurses quarters (approx 26000 sq. ft) have been totally completed and it has become the pride and envy of the area and beyond. This has been made possible by our principal donors, Raju Vegesna Foundation (India) headed by Vegesna Anantha Koti Raju,  contributing above 20.4 crores.

Sri Venkateswara Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (VIRRD Trust) a public Charitable Trust was setup on 12.11.2007. The trust was setup to establish an orthopaedic facility to cater to the needs of differentially abled people of north coastal Andhra Pradesh and beyond. This was to be similar to the “Sri Balaji Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD Trust Hospital)” constructed at the lotus feet of lord venkateswara at Tirupathi. Similarly the facility at Dwaraka Tirumala was named as “Sri Venkateswara Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (VIRRD Trust)” and was created at the lotus feet of lord venkateswara at Dwaraka Tirumala.
